Build an agent
Today
6 hours a week, about 300 a year, to rebuild the same market read. 2 of the last 5 leadership decks cited numbers without a source.
Why not a tool
The read crosses reviews, social, search and your approved claims, every week. No tool in place covers all 4.
Expected
About 4 of the 6 hours back each week, and every number traced to a dated source.
Cost
6 weeks to build. Running costs and 1 hour of human review a week, counted in the case.

3 places to look first

Where the hours go, and what an agent changes.

We assess each process using the same criteria: what it costs today, what an agent changes, and how time and quality are measured before anything is built.

Market and consumer insights

Today

Numbers from nowhere end up in a launch plan or a leadership deck.

With an agent

An agent groups what consumers ask in reviews, social and search, and shows how ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity answer those questions, and which brands they name.

The audit measures

TimeHours from a question to a sourced insight.

QualityShare of numbers traced to a dated source.

Content and claims on brand

Today

Generic copy, an off-brand tone, claims out of bounds, caught late in review.

With an agent

An agent holds your guidelines, approved claims and voice, and checks every draft before a person reads it.

The audit measures

TimeHours to first credible draft.

QualityFirst-pass approval rate.

Weekly performance reporting

Today

Every dashboard tells a different story, and hours go into reading them.

With an agent

An agent reads store, ads and creator data every week and proposes 1 action, with the evidence and a draft for your review.

The audit measures

TimeHours from the numbers to a decision.

QualityReporting discrepancies reconciled.

Illustrative · the audit sets these readings on your own processes before anything is built. Hours come from your write-ups, checked in the walk-throughs, and from system data where it exists.

The problem

Your teams are already using AI. Choosing what’s worth building is the hard part.

Some teams have approved tools, others personal accounts. Results vary, and there is no shared basis for deciding what deserves an investment.

Illustrative · 1 of your employees, a personal AI account

I need an idea to pitch my boss on Monday. What’s hot on TikTok Shop for Gen Z makeup?

Pitch a lip oil launch: glossy lip oils are taking over, with sales up 300% this year. Unverified data

Tagline: “Glow up your routine with our must-have lip oil!” Generic copyOutside our brand guidelines

Claim: clinically proven to plump lips in 1 hour. Outside our claims

Want me to turn this into slides for Monday?

Sources · a TikTok compilation · an affiliate blog · no date

Illustrative exchange, the wording is invented.

Generic tools

No memory, no workflow

Re-explained every time, and the output varies from one person to the next.

Unapproved tools

Personal accounts, outside your governance

Briefs, launch plans and pricing go into tools your IT has not approved.

No shared basis

Pilots nobody can compare

Each team tests on its own, so no one can tell which process deserves an investment.

What gets worse

The longer each team experiments alone, the harder results are to compare, and the more company information sits in tools nobody approved.

How the audit works

4 weeks. A verdict per process. 1 prioritized plan.

A founder team or up to 6 teams: write-ups in week 1, walk-throughs through week 3, the readout in week 4. The 4 weeks hold at any size. The number of processes, walk-throughs and stakeholders sets the scope and the fee.

Week 0

Kickoff

Scope, sponsor, the interview list.

Week 1

Write-ups

3 to 5 processes per team, on our template.

Weeks 1 to 3

Walk-throughs

With the people who do the work: hours per step, errors.

Week 3

The map and the checks

Every process placed, then tested on 4 criteria.

Week 4

Readout

With the people who decide: a verdict per process, 1 prioritized plan.

Then

Your first AI agent

When a build is justified, scoped separately: with us, your IT or another builder.

Your side

1 sponsor, 1 write-up per team, 45 minutes per lead for the walk-through, plus the kickoff and the readout. 3 to 5 processes each, rough steps, on our template. Outcoast does the rest.

The map and the checks

The map finds the pain. 4 checks decide the verdict.

Each process is placed by output quality and time spent. Your teams’ write-ups replace these examples in week 1.

Output quality, by type of work

Insights
Accuracy, traceability, relevance
Content
Brand consistency, approved claims
Reporting
Accuracy, usefulness for decisions

Then each candidate goes through 4 checks.

  • FeasibilityCan it be built with the tools and skills you have?
  • Data readinessIs the data there, clean enough, and readable without moving it?
  • RiskClaims, brand safety, personal data, the EU AI Act.
  • AdoptionIs there an owner, and a team that will use it every week?

4 possible verdicts

Build an agent

Hours go in, quality stays low, and the 4 checks pass.

Use an existing tool

A plain AI model or a tool you already pay for does the job.

Fix the workflow first

The process or its data needs fixing before AI helps.

Leave it as is

Fast and high quality already.

What you leave with

A verdict per process. 1 prioritized plan.

The plan works with any builder: with us, with your IT, or with another partner. Building is scoped separately.

Readout with the people who decideEvery document is yours to keep2 rounds of revisions includedScope set on the call: teams, markets, systems

Security and data

Under NDA. Read-only.

Under NDA

Signed before the kickoff, by default. It covers everything your teams share: write-ups, walk-throughs and documents.

Read-only where systems are involved

Granted by your IT and limited to what the audit needs. Nothing is changed in your systems.

Who leads the audit

2 founders, in the room.

You speak with the people who frame the work and build the agents.

Sofian MeguellatiCo-founder and CEO

Advisor to Brand Presidents and GMs across luxury and consumer brands. In the audit, he frames the objectives with leadership, leads the walk-throughs and turns them into the prioritized plan.

Tom CoquereauCo-founder, AI engineering

Building enterprise software since 2014; founded Metriq (AI automation) and Tokamai (AI security). In the audit, he checks feasibility, data and security with your IT, and writes the agent specification.

The next step

The questions we get

Before the first call.

The questions brands ask before they start.

We are a small indie brand. Is the audit for us?

Yes. A founder team sends its processes the same way a larger brand’s 6 teams do. For indie brands, the plan can point to 1 of our ready-made agents.

Do we get a working agent at the end?

You get the prioritized plan, with an agent specification when a build is justified: scope, data, systems, owner, measures. Building is scoped separately, with us, with your IT or with another builder.

Will this end in another slide deck?

It ends with a decision for every process, including the ones where the right answer is an existing tool, a fix to the workflow, or no change. Every document is yours to keep.

Our AI pilots stalled. What makes this one different?

The plan names an owner, a time measure and a quality measure for each change, a business case that counts review and running costs, and review dates where you decide to extend it.

Is the audit a way to sell us agents?

The verdict can be an existing tool, a workflow fix or no change, and the plan works with any builder: with us, with your IT, or with another partner.

Will our security team approve it?

Everything your teams share is covered by an NDA, signed before the kickoff. Where the audit reads a system, access is read-only, granted by your IT and limited to what the audit needs.

Our teams have no time, and our data is not ready.

Your side is 1 sponsor, 1 write-up per team and 45 minutes per lead for the walk-through, plus the kickoff and the readout. Data readiness is 1 of the 4 checks in the audit, process by process.

Is the audit paid?

Yes. It is a paid, fixed-scope engagement, quoted after the scoping call, once the teams, processes and markets are set.

Does the EU AI Act change anything for marketing?

2 dates matter. Since 2 February 2025, a brand must make sure the teams who use AI know how to use it (Article 4). Since 2 August 2026, images, audio or video generated by AI that could pass for real must be disclosed when you publish them (Article 50). The risk check flags which of your processes touch either.
